I chose Monkeyon for our 3rd emerging technology assignment. This is truly a fun application. I have already used it! This is a creative way to get things done! It was quick and easy to do. I searched it at Web 2.0, and instantly new it was something I wanted to do. The initial set up was a breeze - sign up for an account and log in. The idea behind this application is having a "to do" list...you send out messages through Monkeyon of what you want done and you can even give a deadline! You provide someone's email address (referred to as your victim) and when you have a task that you want that person to do you just put in that person's email address with the task that you want accomplished. I provided my husband's email address and I have already sent him a monkey. There will be many more to come! I only signed up for the free account, which allows you to have 5 active monkeys at a time. For $20 you can have all the active monkeys you want for the life of the monekyon service. Hopefully, I will be able to get by with the free service. I honestly think I will get the most use of this emerging technology!
What a great website. I can't wait to try it out. I'll see how well it works with my kids first because they are definitely going to have some responsibilities this summer. Great job with all of your technologies this semester. Jenny
This monkeyon is a really good idea. Someone else in class used it and I think it's a great way to keep track of things. It gets hard trying to remember all of your own "to-do's" without remembering everyone else's too. It would be nice to have someone ELSE (the monkey) send a reminder...Maybe I should start this up at work. :) Great job this semester. Have a great summer!
